it changed the speed of the system to increase performance - or so ive heard

it did jacob. my mom used to cheat and turn turbo off and then beat my tetris score

actually it didn't ever increase speed, turning it off was really turning on a specificly designed slowdown circuit to make the system speed compatible with old games.

lol - you know, i think i tried to play a game on an old computer (not turbo old, but oooold) and it may have been made for slow computers, since it played at like a billion frames a second, and you couldnt play since it was going too fast

so if turning it off slowed it down, having it on sped it up
