I finally did it

I finally overclocked my cpu from 2.53ghz to 2.55 ghz . I know not a real big jump but I only have the stock fan and don't really want to fry it.

lol i took my 2600+ from 1.9ghz to 2.2ghz (11x200) which is pretty much a 3200+ and my cpu temp is only 30C but i have a slk947 +92mm fan so i have some extra cooling

I havent done much overclocking either....but my first new computer was a SLOT a ATHLON...950MHZ with 100fsb..I think it would get to 105fsb so that was 1050mhz! lol.

c44...you got a lotta room before you need to worry about frying it..besides, you can just go into the bios and keep a watch on the temps etc.

Monitor your temps as you progress---you cant hurt a thing at the rate you are progressing---"frying" is an older OC term not used much nowadays unless you make a major blunder---
What board/mem are you using?
