Backup, ERD etc?

I read a lot here about losing mbr stuff and restoring it etc etc.

On XP I mean.

I have a "master build" for a Biostar motherboard..xp home....what should I backup off of it...obviously I will have a ghost backup of the whole thing...but what about making an ERD and stuff like that....

Say, in case a customer calls and says he has a boot error etc.

What do I need to backup to be ready for those eventualities?

Thanks, JP

Ahh, I see in XP they now have the ASR as opposed to ERD.

What about diskprobe? Is that whats used now to backup an MBR?
