i ordered a 9600 XT on 11/28/03 at 10:41:22 AM (friday)
and now its estimated arrival is Dec 4, 2003 by 4:30 pm (thursday)
man.. almost a week.. this is the second time a package arrives this ...late....
im not complaining... i see every1 say
"i got it in 2 days!"
ehh... o well i will just wait till thursday..

its says that the package is in edison, NJ...
i live in NYC, it shouldnt take that long get from NJ to NY
december 1 to december 4
NJ - NYC ?

i've placed 3 orders w/newegg...items range from PS, cases, sound cards,etc and all three orders have arrived on the 3rd day (counting from the day it was shipped, not ordered) - i live in nyc.
you mentioned you placed the order on the 28th but you didn't mention when it was actually shipped. they might have had a slight delay processing orders over the thanksgiving weekend...

hehe, I was up there in 2002 on thanksgiving weekend....starting from "brentwood" (I think I remember that correctly..we were visiting 'techsmart')...took me 4 hours to go the next 40 miles.
Neweggs truck may just be in traffic!!

it was shipped on Dec 1st
and its estimated arrival is dec 4....
i dont think it takes 4 days to get from NJ to NYC

You don't mention the speed of shipping, but can I assume it is FedEx 'express saver' (3 day) shipping? (That is the standard shipping they sometimes provide 'free' with certain products.)
From my NewEgg orders, FedEx usually delivers a day earlier than their 'estimate' on the tracking page. (I'm located in Central PA, so the same may apply.)
I'm not sure if that provided any useful info, but hopefully you get your stuff before the 4th!

you ordered on a friday . if it didn't go out on friday it was shipped on monday . you also have to remember that sometimes fedex hold the package till the day it is supose to be delivered . it is lame but you paid for 3 day so i guess they figure if they deliver early they are cutting there faster service out if they deliver faster than what you paid for 
so that could also be the hold up . once it leaves newegg it is outta there hands | |

Not to be harsh but Newegg has the fastest turnaround time of ANY online vender i've dealt with in 8 years.
