Game pricing and what you get...

Was thinking about this today.

Would you be willing to pay $75-$100 for a PC game? I'm tired of paying $50 for a game that you can beat in a day if you play non-stop.

What if someone were to actually make a game that would actually take you some time to defeat or complete it. A game that would take you at least 3 days or so if you played it constatly. And I'm not talking about the supplemental online gaming.

What are your thoughts?

that's why I like RPG games. But I would not pay $70 for it. Games use to be $30-45 when they first came out.

you just have to read reviews and play demos so your $50 is well spent.

Nope. I don't like paying $50 for the games that are out now, much less more (aieee). Errr, you weren't thinking of maybe, "Call of Duty" now were you?

/me cheap, buy used games.

I'd pay 75-100 for a multiplayer online rpg, but only if that was the price hands down and there was no monthly fee (i.e. everquest and FFXI)

I agree with Starfury_2260 quote "you just have to read reviews and play demos so your $50 is well spent."

Except I don't buy the latest (I've never bought a game over $30 (except for Rayman 2 paid $33)). I wait til they are below $20 and I'm quite content.

I would do the same as Wing Wizard, I would pay a lot of money for multiplayer RPGs as long as I didn't have to pay a monthly fee.

This thread was meant to be in the General gaming section. Oops

I got Tiger Woods 2004. I have been playing it off and on for about 2 months now, and still haven't finished the career mode. After that, there are full season tournaments and even online playing. That is probably the best bang for buck game there is.
