Arcade Games gone mini for the TV

Doing some Xmas shopping, and I came across something that looked VERY interesting. Probably been around a while, but I just saw them. It's a NAMCO 5-in-1 arcade doohickey Like ThisOne.

Now, not a bad deal at all so long as the controller is good enough. But for that price, I do wonder. I would prefer to Pay $50 for a few more games and a really nice lap-size arcade stick. Heck even $75 if they were some great games and a super-nice stick.

But what I would really like to check out is the internal workings of this little gadget. Like how easy would it be to swap the ROMs out of the little thing and put in new ROMs, with more games and of course a new menu so I can get to the games. I wonder if anyone has already done it...legally of course. I would only install roms that I legally own.

And for some similar items I've found since seeing this one:

That atari stick is really nice but it's $39.99. It's still a nice deal to play with your old favorites. There's a pc adaption called stella. It has I think at least 30 games.

Did you check out Wally World billy? I believe they had an atari one for $18.xx

I also heard a couple of the local DJ's a while back talking about one that had duck hunt and some old NES games on it...haven't been able to find that one, tho.

Now if I could just take a truck-load back in time and make a billion dollars...

Or just enjoy playing one. Nobody knows of any sites where a discussion on the internal workings of any of these spiffy toys is happenin'? Guess that means I'll have to go buy one and take it apart and see where it takes me...
