Do all Pentium 4 processors support HyperThreading?

I noticed a BIOS upgrade for my motherboard that would add/enable this feature, and just wondered if my P4 2.4Ghz processor accutally supported HyperThreading? I might end up using this as a server later on, so the feature might come in handy.

How can you tell if it's a C? I downloaded a utility and it gave me this info:

Does that "Revision C1" mean it's a C?

Edit: D'oh! just found out my processor is a P4 2.4b, so I guess no HyperThreading for me...

um... No, sorry yours is not a HT cpu

If u have a HT cpu, on the P4 Logo of the utility u use will show a HT wording on that logo therefore I am sure its not a HT cpu.

I am using the same utility too and mine shows the HT on my logo.

Send a message via AIM to phenious
if they are just laying around dont hesitate to send one or both to me Ill PM my address if you want cysus Have you tried overclocking it xorcist? I would imagine you would get more preformance OCing it than you would having HT. I think programs have to support it for it to really work and I dont think many really take advantage of it.

phenious,
my sister want me to build her a comp. (sometime) and i think i'm seting up a asus digimatrix media pc for myself (little christmas present for me from me) and the p42.4b is the max that its rated for. besides i wouldn't be willing to part with it for any price i expect to see offered for it.

HT is nice becase it improves the casual comp. use the most rather than proformance on higher end
