Did you have Internet Security? Both Norton AV and Firewall came bundled together?
I'm not sure how they handle that with Internet Security, but I know for sure that if you have them as separate products, then your updates are separate. Norton AV comes with a one year update sub when purchased retail. I can't remember, but I think Firewall and all of their products are similar. It's really cheap to just buy the full updated versions though. That's what I usually do every year. You can go to the Symantec web site and click on their Symantec Store. Somewhere on that page there will be a link to their Upgrade Center. It will ask you for a Symantec product ID key, which is usually a number located near the Symantec bar code sticker on your product's box. After entering that number, you can get into the Upgrade Center and buy any of their products at upgrade costs. The latest Norton Antivirus is like $29 there, or you can get Inet Security for like $39 or even less sometimes if there are rebate offers. Last year I ordered Systemworks Professional (which includes Ghost) and only paid $69 for it after my rebate. I paid $19 for Norton Firewall after the $10 rebate on it too. The rebates took several weeks go get them, but they were worth it. I haven't seen any rebates since then though, but the Upgrade Centers prices are really reasonable for a retail boxed product on most of their stuff. Antivirus Professional includes 2 AV licenses too and is only $10 more, so if you have multiple computers that's a nice thing.
Anyway, good luck with your Firewall updates. I'd check with them, it might only have a 1 year sub too.
Later!
