HSF Combo?

I currently thinking of getting this HSF combo around Christmas:

Thermalright SLK-947-U

and

Vantec Tornado 92cfm

Will these too good together and does anyone know if they are compatible with LanParty NF II Ultra boards?

*Notice* Besides sound from the tornado are these good?

If you will be working in the same town as the computer, I'd suggest you rethink your choice of fan. 55dB is a lot for a fan.

the 900a is not better. it is almost exactly the same as the 900. and i would recommend the u version, as it's much more secure. i dont know if the lanparty board is compatible. it must have the 4 mounting holes around the cpu socket for the u version of the heatsink

i would suggest a quieter 90mm fan as you wont need a very loud one since they provide a good amount of cooling as well.

i've got a 2600+ on a nf7-s running at 11x200 at 27C with no problems and the 90mm fan (running at ~2600rpm) on my 947u is quieter than the case fans.

Yes the 900 takes 92 mm fans, and honestly the Tornado will not give you much more cooling then other 92 mm fans out there. At this point you are limited to the ambient temperatures of the case, that is unless you are overclocking that is.

I am a big advocate of the Enermax Speed Control Fan family and I am using the 92 and 120 ones in my case. They offer the best CFM to noise ratios and are priced resonably.

The 947U is a good heatsink tho and it is almost identical to the 900A which I am using.

I'm a huge fan of the SLK-700 + YS-Tech tip-driven fans. Best combination of cooling and low noise I have ever seen.

The 947U requires mounting, the SLK 900A does not. The Vantec Aeroflow is very good and is half the price and if you get the Aeroflow then you wont have to buy a fan for it cause it comes with a 5600 RPM TMD fan. Dputiger mentioned the SLK 700, thats a superb heatsink and like the Aeroflow it comes with TMD fan.
