Kids Windows 98 Shutdown Question

Is there anyway to have Windows 98 shutdown gracefully when pushing the power button? I know for Windows XP when I hit the power button it shuts down graceful but I need a utility or way to do that with Windows 98.

Thanks

It's a laptop. Thanks I'll look to see if it has that option.

Define: "gracefully"

I think he means the computer automatically shuts down. Without going to the "It's now safe to turn off your computer" screen and having to manually push the button to shut off.

See I was thinking maybe he was just doing a hard shutdown and was getting the scandisk thing on restart.

Here's the deal. I made a digital picture frame out of a laptop. I don't have a keyboard or a mouse, just a power button. Right now when I want to turn the frame off I hit the power button and it just shuts off (not "gracefully") so when I boot it back up it has to run through scandisk.

Go into msconfig and turn off run scandisk after bad shutdown.
