How to move and transport rear projection TV

I'm moving to a new apartment tomorrow and I recall reading somewhere that my rear projection TV cant be tilted, In other words it's impossible to get it down the stairs.

Moving this 90lbs monster down the stairs without tilting it could only be done if I move it down sideways one step at a time.

What should I do ?

From what i've understood there are 3 different sources in the TV . Red,blue and green. When moved these can move slightly and damage the convergence thingy.

Also have to remember there is a mirror in there as well. More than likely you will knock out the convergence a little bit if you are very carefull. Mine has been pretty solid in it's position. But somehow the convergence on the left side is off a little bit. Philips is coming out this Thursday to adjust and clean everything for me. I got the extended warranty. Glad that I did. In High Definition you can really tell the red and blue is off on the left side.

If you are carefull, you will most likely not have any problems. The most you will do is knock out the convergence a little bit. Just don't drop it.

You should be fine.
