Well I guess if your really hardcore you would extend the fan wires around the inside of the case so they can't be seen through the window. As for the other wires Im guessing sleeving is the only real way to clean them up unless you can hide them behind the drive cages. I guess if you really wanted to you could buy a Antec modular PSU...it'll only put you in the hole like 150-200 depending on what kinda you get. They look really nice though.Another thing that helps out is if you have any SATA Hard Drives and such since those wires are really thin and easy to hide. You also have to remember the angle you would be looking at the case if you have a window since you'll be able to see other areas inside the case then if you were to look at it straight on. I suggest a sleeving kit from Here or any other website out there...Just my 2 cents I guess

The major thing is putting it all in one place. If you look at the pic you posted all the cables that he can are going along the same path down past the drive cages. Then straight over to where they belong.

Also notice how he hides extra wires in the top drive cages. Thats a nice and easy way to get rid of those extra wires.

Another thing you can see (though it is only done in Antec 1030 or around cases). If you notice that horizantil bar the PSU seems to be resting on. its cut out on the other side so you can slip cables in there. Just pop them in, maybe use some blue stickim or something to hold them in for travel and you have cpu fans and other cables near there hidden!

Here is an example of taking custom wiring to the extreme. Wires entended labeled, and extended to behind the mobo.

Really neat job (not mine) if you have the time and patience.

hey guys, my name is penz and DallasDons a good ol' boy i've come to know on another forum...he graciously asked if he could post those pics of my Antec830 case...what he hasn't seen is i'm refurbing the wiring on my Chieftech (Antec1040)...

here's some more pic's;

the 1st one shows that i'm switching over to terminal strips and will use solderless crimp on connectors...

the 2nd pic shows not only the grid i layed out on the backside of the mobo mounting plate but two 2" diameter holes i drilled (using a holesaw) to fascilitate passing wires from the inside of the case to the termination points hidden out of sight, (notice they're behind the drive bays and out of sight);

the 3rd pic shows an item i picked up at my handy, right down the street electronics supply store (not RadioShack)...it's called a raceway...it's about 3/4" wide and come with an adhesive strip on the bottom side...also see that it hinges to accept wires and then closes to conceal them...i will be using this on the inside perimeter of the bottom of my case...it can also be easily spray paintedto match your case interior color;

if this seems a bit fanatical, it's because i got tired of having to hassle the dang wires everytime i wanted to make any hardware changes in my rig...this way, with a tool less case, and the wires organized...i can can switch out anything with the least effort...

it all takes time, but to me it's worth the end result...

Ray...

I recently put some terminal strip behind the mobo tray in my case too - gotta spend some time sorting it out properly over the next couple of days etc.....

One can sure get carried away ..... I know that when someone opens my case they'll know a pro did it. Kinda like when I was wireing houses. You know the main breaker box? I've opened some thet other people have done and been quite shocked (pardon the pun) at how messy a job they'd done, because to me they looked like a spider web or a bowl of spaghetti. Hard to work on because of the mess and utter confusion. IMHO not very professional.

When I did that kind of work I made sure my wires were cut to fit, striped the same amount, bent to be mechanical looking and to follow the "line of the building." They were tied with small plastic wire ties to keep them tight and in line. Clean box, professional

Now, in my PC, as I'm sure you would expect: all my power wires are first grouped nice and tight (and in straight lines) with excess lengths doubled back on them selves. The main harness of PSU wires go back over the Mobo mounting plate and then return to the viewing area just behind the top IDE device. From there it splits: one run going to the Mobo connections, and the other one powering the Mobo. My IDE power wires come out to the front (window) side and then straight down, with each IDE power connector branching off the run as needed. To top it off (once that is done) I cover the wires with "split" loom or with a "spiral wrap" loom that way they vary in size but look similar to the round IDE cables.

Clean case, good air, professional !!!

Your prep sounds like a pro job too... the kind of wiring organisation that I'm aiming for
