Watercooling questions!

I posted this under a different topic (gen questions i think) but i never got responses.

Ok - i have a very good computer setup at the moment... everything is running fine and dandy. The case is awesome - a self-modded lianli aluminum pc-60 case with 5 highperformance fans (ranging from thermaltake smartfanIIs, vantec tornados). I have a volcano 11 installed on the cpu.

btw, my specs are:
3200+ amd athlon xp
2x512mb geil pc3200
9800pro
nforce2 mobo ultra400
audigy2-ZS
dual harddrives: 40 + 80gb - single platter WD (8mbcache, 7200rpm)
ATI tv tuner
blah blah blah....

anyway, i was thinking of going for watercooling.

i was looking at the koolance exos system as it would work with lianli case, just rest it on top.

but i am more interested in the koolance system with the case - as i can sell my lianli case for about 100$, thus the watercooled case would only cost me 100$. i would lose all my mods!! nooo.... but the new case would be something new i could mod too.

anyway, does anyone here have experience with watercooling? can someone describe to me the steps to starting the watercooling system, what has to be done in the beginning... tips?

also, i would like to know what are the cons to a watercooled system... like, what do they mean by bleeding the system? or, i see that a bottle of coolant is included, WHAT IF THE COOLANT RUNS OUT? do i have to buy the exact same coolant??

also, is it a hassle to maintain such a system? how many times do i change the water? HOW do i change the water?

basically, i would like tips from all you watercooling experts out here!

thanks in advance.

I have not done it personally .... but .....

From what I've read from links on this message board hear is what I've learned:

Bleeding the system = means removing any air from the system.

Making real sure you don't have ANY LEAKS is important.

There are kits but you can do it your self with an aquarium pump, clear tubing and hose clamps (from hardware store) a small heater core -aka radiator- (from auto parts store), and a group or sizable fan (to force air past the heater core) and a resivour (collection tank) with bleeder valves - hint: this is where the aquarium pump goes Then all you need to do is find the appropriate fittings for your CPU, Memory, HDD, and Video Card, and you're good-to-go. hint2 where you locate your radiator/fan unit, and how well you insulate the resevour (and fluid pump) from the case will determine how quiet the new system will be.

There is a fluid out there that will not cause a short-circuit even if there is a leak, but I think it's pricey, many pictures posted here and other sites depict what appears to be ordinary green automobile anti-freeze/coolant.

Ease of "changing the water" depends on how you set up your cooling system - a (closable) vent at the top, and a drain at the bottom of all hoses tanks etc. would be really convenient for this process ... but how often you're supposed to do it .... I don't have a clue buddy ......

Do a search ... here and with google .....
