What type of memory?

Hi,

I got hold of an old laptop yesterday, It has no name except its a desgignote3. My problem is that it only has 4mb of ram as the 16mb card is dead, I don`t know what the card is. It is half the size of a 72pin simm but has 72 pins on it (36 each side). I am told its an old sort of fast page ram. Anyone know of what type of ram is it and also where I can get some as this laptop won`t boot into win95 with 4mb.

Laptop specs if its any help.

Amd-X5 486@133Mhz
4Mb Ram
1.25Gb HD
Colour screen

It seems a shame to scrap it as it works apart from not letting me load win95 on it.

Thanks in advance Doot

Most laptop memory is SODIMM, but that's 144-pin.

CompGeeks has some. You might also check PriceWatch

Nevermind the PM I just sent you then.

I don't know of any vendors over there where can get that stuff from. You might just have to ask around.

Try here for 72-pin FastPage 5v SODIMM . . . it's in Quid/Euros, so I think you may be in luck.
