Kids Nero Problems

My CDRW came with Nero 5.5 and i burned CDs fine with it. Then i went out and bought Nero 6 Ultra Edition. Most of the time when i use nero 6 it fails. does any one know why

just another question my CDRW is a I/O Magic 52x24x52 and i read the manuel so many times and it says windows has the drivers. might the problem be is my CDRW drive is listed as Atapi CD-RW 52x24???

How are the burns failing? What does the log say?
The CDRW being listed as "Atapi CD-RW 52x24" is normal so I don't think that is the source of your problem.

Sorry, I gotta ask... did you uninstall Nero 5.5 before installing Nero 6.0 or just install 6.0 over top of 5.5?

If windows (any version) comes with drivers for any CDRW, I am very surprised. Windows only installs ATAPI devices, which includes CDRW drives as well as CDR drives...then, that CDRW will read CDs, but not write to them..that takes burner software such as Nero. Nero will come bundled with a lot of retail burners...but that Nero is limited to the burner it was bundled with. The key code is burner specific, and to get that version of Nero to burn with any other CDRW, the user must buy a new registration key...then, Nero will work with almost all burners.

When you get some software setup that recognizes your CDRW...it will then burn.

When i first bought a new CD burner (Samsung) with Nero 5.5 application, im thinking of burning mp3s into audios, cda format. But I dont know how since Im a bit new to this one.
Then i burrowed a Nero 5.0 Express from a friend, saying that it is much easier in burning mp3 to audios. There was a problem though, that I couldn't get it burned. The CDR doesnt even run. Yet, it didnt even recognize my cd burner hardware too.
Later I found out that Nero 5.5 come with compatible driver, Samsung. Now it is in fact, much easier to use after I've leared few steps from the help file.
So if I bought the Nero 6, then I better look out for the correct drivers as well, for my hardware. In order for it to work and read.
