NES controller hack

I've done the XBOX controller hack to use on the PC and it worked great. I want to do a hack like that for an NES controller anyone know if this is possible? If so how can i do it or where can I find info about it?

thats great but i need to know what colors to match up on the printer cable I cant open up the cable and tell what pins are what

huh? are you building an adapter? both the NES pad connector and the parallel port connector have specific shapes. Look at the diagram on that page. The pin numbers are listed, as well as the colors of the wires as they come out of the NES pad. Maybe this is a clearer diagram:
