Help! Computer w/DSL Downstairs, Ps2 upstairs/no comp! Will a wireless router work?

My situation -

I have a Ps2 w/network adapter upstairs. My computer with my earthlink dsl is downstairs. I was wondering if there is a way I can use a wireless router or something to use my ps2 w/network adapter upstairs? Would I have to have a computer upstairs as well, or could I just use the router on my dsl modem downstairs and hook it up to my ps2 upstairs?

really depends how much money u want to spend.
I in any sitation simply for security a router is the way to go. You could get a linksys or d-link wireless router (also has wired switch built in) for fairly cheap (like 50-70 dollars). Then you could either run a wire to the ps2, or you could buy a wireless adapter for it (linksys makes one for xbox and ps2), but its like another 60 dollars I think.

Some wireless routers, however on second look those wireless game adapters for xbox / ps2 are more than I thought (about 100 dollars). Much easier to just buy a cable and run it to the ps2
