You'll get a lot of differing opinions on this topic, you might want to add a poll...
I haven't heard a lot about the Dell Axim, but what I have heard has mostly been good. I work as the IT director for 3 schools, and we're probably going to get all the administration people wireless Axims.
Something you'll really want to consider is the Pocket PC/Palm angle. Pocket PCs generally have more memory, flashier graphics, and are more expensive. They run a scaled down version of the Windows OS, so they work well with Microsoft products. If you use a Mac, Linux, or something similar, you're probably better off going with a Palm. YMMV.
Me, I'm a Toshiba guy, I have an e310, but I'm planning on upgrading to an e755 or waiting until their e8xx series comes out and grabbing one of them.
A lot of people like Compaq (HP) PDAs. They're high quality, but high price as well.

| A Palm Zire is far from a top model PDA.
