If you have a static IP address for your home connection, go to
http://www.dyndns.org and sign up for their free
Static DNS Service. Then just input your IP address in your account setup(you can go to
http://www.whatismyip.com to find out what it is.) and from then on, your domain name that you registered with will point to your home IP.
Or, if you have a dynamic IP address with your internet connection(more common), you can use a
Dynamic DNS Service for free. What happens when you sign up is that you'll register a domain name such as 'superlac.dyndns.org' or whatever you want, then you can go to a command prompt on your work pc and type in "ping superlac.dyndns.org" and then it will ping your home PC.
Then use one of their IP update clients from their site, and install it on your home computer. That'll keep your domain name updated to point to your latest(current) IP address.
So, in order to find out your home IP address, just go to command prompt and "ping domainnamehere.dyndns.org, and then it will resolve the hostname to an IP and it will show the IP for you, ad well as ping it four times. (In windows...)
