Second Sound Card

Hey guys. I have a P4 computer with Radeon 9000 Pro graphics, an integrated 6channel sound card, and an ATI TV wonder VE. I use it mainly for video editing. The TV wonder card has an connector on the back to run a cable to the line in of the sound card to capture sound as well as video. The problem is that I used up those connectors because they double as the different parts of the 6 channel sound. So I installed a second sound card. However this sound doesnt come out when I am recording. Is there a software loop I can do to send the sound from card number two into card number 1?

And also with my TV card when I try to set it up as a webcam in MSN messenger the system restarts without warning. Whats up with that?

Thanks in advance

You'r spk icon in task bar. Right click it. Choose "adjust audio properties". Now in new window under "Sound recording" "prefered device" choose the other sound card. Its set to the first installed card by default. Thats all there is to it. Err sorry sound not coming out. Same thing-just change the prefered play back device in same window.

You lost me there. I have the ATI Tv Wonder VE and in no way does it act as a webcam. You could plug a webcam into it and have it display through the rca input. If that is what you are doing it means that MSN messenger is crashing for some reason. Not the tv wonder...not if your tv works otherwise that is.

Yeah I played with the volume and the default record device. Right now I have it turned allll the way up and the thing set to record. I think this card might be faulty or something because I have had problems with it b4. It seems to lock up other programs too and windows always gives me the "windows has recovered from a serious error" message.
