help please!

i cannot access any secure sites. i have checked in internet options and all that with ssl 2.0 and 3.0 and the securty level is at default. i have IE 6.0 with 128 bit cipher. using windows xp with a cable connection, not behind a router or firewall. i read it could be the user profile is corrupted? if i delete it is it a big deal or would i just have to reconfigure the desktop and simple things. or what else could be the reason? thanks for any help.

I can't help..I don't think...but you need to (at least) state your operating system..XP?..just a guess.

I also use IE 6.0, and so far, I have been able to access any site I have needed to.. would you like to post the URL to some secure site you are unable to access?...maybe others here would like to check the site out as well.

Theres an option in "Internet Options" in IE that tells you wheather you can access certain sites.
