Kids Networking Printer

I recently set up a network that has 2 98 machines and 1 XP machine. I can share files and printers through the 98 machines just fine. However when I try to print from a 98 machine to the printer connected to the XP machine it always fails. Also when I try to view one of the files from the 98 machine on the XP machine it takes forever to load. Also whenever I try to print from the 98 machine to the XP machine it wants me to connect to the internet. Does anyone have any ideas what might be the problem?

Do you have the same usernames/passwords for all 3 machines? XP likes something called network transparency (I think), where the networked computer automatically tries to verify a user based on the user name they have on their local computer.

So, mksoccer on Win98 tries to connect to WinXP, where mk_soccer is the only user. WinXP will take issue with this. Just a thought. Also, make sure ICF (Internet Connection Firewall) is down on the WinXP machine.
