No authentication behind proxy

I run IIS on my adsl line. The server works fine and everything when I check it from my home, or whereever. But when I try to access it from work (behind proxy and strict firewall), I cannot get to the authenticated part of the site (integrated windows authentication). Everywhere else it popups a window that asks for user authentication, but here it doesn't popup anything, it just displays error page that I'm not authorized to view the page with the supplied credentials.

What's the problem here?

I must assume that this is because of the timezone, when I ask a question, it's midnight there and no one is awake.

how many different comps have you tried it from at work?

My desktop, and my laptop (the laptop will connect fine to the server at other locations).

It must be some stupid setting in our proxy/firewall to prevent such authentication method (though MS kb says ntlm will not work through proxy), because it works ok behind my schools proxy.
