SuSE 9 users get ready for Windows apps?

Is that bad? Seems like a wonderful way to draw in new users.

on one hand, it is good in that it will help draw in newbies. OTOH, there is a Linux app to do the same things with.

ahh this will give SUSE a lead on the desktop market..... also a quick adoption of Linux for the users out there.. on my work site a lot of users could use Linux they mainly use office, altought It would be difficult for some users the access policies the company handles would be a lot easier on linux.. on my part i could use linux for some task but not all we use Illustrator a lot, I tried to get an application that could do the same job, actually is opening the AI files, making some changes and converting them to PDF for common general use, but I have a CAD software that is only written to Windows no linux port yet, and I doubt a port to linux soon.. it buggy enough on windows ....

I can see the sense in it for business migrating to Linux, since they may already have a hefty investment in seat licenses and user training for many programs the crossover plugin runs.

On the other hand, for home users who use a computer mainly because of these programs and have no need of advanced Linux features, instead of getting a $39 compatibility layer so that Windows applications work reasonably well in Linux, why not get a $60 OEM licence for XP Home and have everything work the way it was designed to? -or better yet, continue using their existing Windows OS.... unless (poor saps) its Windows ME ..blah~
