WTF is wrong with my computer? no video!

The motherboard and PSU of my computer were completely destroyed so today I got a new motherboard and PSU. Assembled my computer then tried to run it and for some reason I HAVE NO VIDEO! The light of the monitor keeps blinking as if there is no video signal coming in (like when the computer is off or asleep). I've switched video cards with one of my other computers and it does the same damn thing; absolutely no video at all.

The power supply and motherboard are brand new, I mean like less than 4 hours.
The video card works in another computer just fine.

I've taken out the sound card, it has the same problem. I've taken out the RAM and it does the same thing. I've disconnected all the drives and it does the same thing.

What the hell is going on? Is my computer just cursed???

I know that feeling...like WTF?!?!

What motherboard?
What video card?
Does your computer give you any beeps that might indicate a specific problem?
Can you hear the cooling fans/chipset fan/drives spinning up?
Have you tried the PSU in the other computer along with the video card?
I'm assuming you used the same monitor with that other computer?
How do you know that the mobo/PSU were the only items destroyed?

I've tried 3 monitors, none of them work with this piece of s*** computer.

The motherboard is an Asus A7N8X-X, that's with an nforce2 400 chipset.

The video cards I have tried:
GeForce FX5200
GeForce2 Ti200
Radeon 7200

No beeps or sounds or anything.
Not only can I hear the fans, I can see them and feel the air they're pushing.
I know that only the mobo and PSU were destroyed because I took my broken computer to a repair place and that's all they could detect as being a problem (I detected the same problems myself when I tested the system).

Hi,
Did you try the following:
Make sure nothing is shoring out the computer (inside)
Reset the CMOS jumper on MB

Thanks, Paul

Nothing is shorting the computer since it can remain on for several minutes. If there was a short, the computer would immediately shut off.
There is no jumper which can reset the CMOS on this motherboard.
The Radeon 7200 I tested was a PCI video card.

In that case, pull your cmos battery out of your mobo for at least 10-15 mins...then slap it back in.

Hmm...was this motherboard tested?

No further info on this problem... but for future builds maybe consider an Epox mobo... they have a cool LED inside that shows post codes that can point you towards the problem when a computer isn't booting.

Time to consider testing the CPU in a known good motherboard.
