Is Connect3D any good?
Found this deal wondered if this company makes good cards. My purchase is a ways away, I may find a better deal on a well-known vendor, but I just wanted a second opinion.

THAT CARD RULES!!!!! I had a friend pick one up from Newegg.com (buy it their, its only 4 bucks more and Newegg rules) and OC'ed it to 500 core and 700 memory!! And it didn't even break a sweat. I had it faster then my 9500 Pro!!! If you can afford a 9800 by all means get that 9600 Pro!!!!!!

arcticfox - I can't follow your link because the filter at the high school I'm at blocked it; make sure it's got the 300/600 mhz memory, not the 200/400. Connect3d's site shows they make both.
These come highly recomended around the forums, at the higher memory; I almost bought one.

Hmm...the page doesn't say the clocks but it is a "retail" card, not OEM where they can change the settings easier.
Also - how much of an upgrade would this be, speedwise, from my Ti 4200 @ 300/530? I'm getting tired of nVidia's crap and would like to try something else. My last ATI card was an onboard 4MB Rage Pro lol...

Well, rule of thum is if the ram is square (BGA) then the RAMis 300/600 but if its rectangular then its 200/400. Don't worry, if its from connect 3D and it says pro it uses BGA (Ball Grid Aray) ram so you should be set.

I checked the Mfg Part # and the one shown on GameVE's page matches the 9600 Pro on Connect3D's page, so it should be the Pro version.

Yeah I know about the BGA being square and the TSOP being rectangular, but no one can figure it out by looking at two different pics, with two different RAM types.
