Explorer keeps closing!

Ok, I've narrowed it down to my Movies folder. Whenever I open it in my Documents, it says explorer has performed an error and must close. I cleaned all the spyware off, and scanned for viruses. I run WIndows XP Pro. Thanks.

Run the IE repair utility. I'm not familiar with XP but in 9x it's an option in Add/Remove Programs. I have a reverse problem, BTW. IE keeps opening a window and it seems to do it every 12-24 hours. Weird stuff.

If that dosn't work change to a new user. I had a simillar problem with the URL dropdown box closing IE. I noticied when my wife loged on it didn't happen, so I saved my files and made myself a new user and deleateted the old one. Problem solved

I had this problem once with a movies folder of mine. I had a movie with a size of about 2gigs and I think this was the culprit.
I went to the command prompt and changed that video file to another folder and everything came back to normal.
Check if you have an extremely big file or multiple big files on that folder and maybe distribute it to multiple folders (i.e. Movies1, Movies 2, etc.).
