Incase none of that worked... ATI has a setup where you can activate the S-Video port under the advanced options of the display control pannel. Right click desktop... goto the settings tab and click advanced. Most laptops will turn the S-Video port off if it dosnt detect a cable on boot... save a little power I guess so you have to turn it on my guess

ATI set uses power button options and you see a TV and you just "activate" it or power it on... I would assume the Nvidia would be pretty close to this...
