They do sell what you need. Its called a controler card. Its not even the graphics card-its after that-its RIGHT at the lcd, and usually a small L shaped board.. The controler runs the segments of the lcd (there are 2 halfs to every TFT-segmented either Left and Right or Top and Bottem) and tells it when to switch on or off the L.C.'s in order to bend the light. 3 LC's per pixel, red, green and blue. So its pretty complicated. The higher res-the more pixels and that takes x3 the # of L.C.'s yet too boot. They do however make the controlers that will run "most" models of lcd's but sub $1000 is rare for a universal control card. LOL. Too $ for us like Peter said. Im a lcd guru so trust me-I do this stuff all the time including laptop lcd replacments, its just not reasonable-but totally feasible.
