DVD Player Boasts of Playing vob's[vod.s?]

Are these just the downloaded files on Computer HDD --before they are burned ?

Is this a good feature to have in a DVD player? Or just hype?

hype. DVDs are made of VOBs... open up a DVD in my computer and look in the Video_TS folder. Most of those are VOBs... usually 1GB or so a shot. So... all DVD players can read VOBs unless you can just burn a single VOB to a disk without formating... I guess that could be something to brag about but I doubt practical at all... as VOBs are made as you burn the DVD or make the image... sooo... yeah... I think its just hype

Uhh..this was one of those TV set type DVD that you play dvds on TV..so is that like saying it can read your computer's Vobs ?

It's like saying 'I'm a dvd player, but guess what! I can read VOB's!!! Ain't I special!'
