Installing XP Pro

hi im trying to install XP pro. i recently deleted everything using partition magic and when I boot up i come to this screen with
f<(uparrow, uparrow, 0, up arrow) and nothign else. I changed the boot priority to CD in BIOS but i still come to the same screen and cannot install windows.

Did you follow meese's advice from your other thread on the same subject?

Find out the manufacturer of the hard drive, go to their website and download the utulities for checking the drive. Run the utilitiy that write all zero's to the drive. This will clean the drive completely. You should now be able to install your OS from the CD without any problems

yeah im currently in the process now. i will once i find the means to create the bootable floppy. my laptop doesnt have a floppy disk drive
