Screen Saver Password Question?

I have a user that has put a password on thier screensaver on a windows 95 machine. Is there a way to get around this password without having to reboot? Then, is there a way to keep this person from putting a password on the screensaver?

uhh..wont that remove all the screensavers themselves???

lol.

Did you mean he ought to remove all the .pwl files?

What context are we talking about here when you say "user"? Is it a job environment? Cant you just ask em to stop? lol. Or, if you need to work on it, cant you just disable the screensaver while you are working on it?

(ps..I hate them stupid password protected screensavers, lol)

Yes, it is in a work environment, and asking doesn't do any good. For some reason this person thinks their work in top secret (it's not) or they are trying to hide something (most likely).

I just don't like having to reboot, just to work on a machine.

So, which file are the ones that I am supposed to delete, to keep this from happening in the future. I don't care if they have a screensaver, I just don't want them to be able to put a password on it.

use poledit to disable the screensaver tab in display properties.
