Best CD ripper & MP3 encoder for Mandrake?

I prefer one that uses LAME and allows the creation of VBR files. GUI for us linux noobs.

I use grip and ripperx with bladeenc. Both will also use lame encoder.

I think GRIP comes with Mandrake doesn't it. It was in the menus when I installed it on my bro's PC. Under What to do-> Rip a CD.
I also use BladeEnc, but it does support LAME as well. Nice easy-to-use GUI and will get the track names etc from cddb and use that. It will also create playlists etc.

You know you can load a CD, open konqueror file manager, click the "Services" button by the sidebar, then "Audio CD Browser" and drag-n-drop .ogg files?
