Mad Dog FX 5600?

Anyone have any experience with Mad Dog Multimedia cards? They have an FX 5600 for $99 at CompUSA and I was thinking of picking it up. Thanks in advance...

They can be a bit on the cheap side. I wouldnt touch any of their CD drives. BTW, how much gaming do you do? If you do a reasonable amount, the general consencus is to avoid the FX cards like the plague. In that case, the older ti4200 is a great card. If you dont game, by all means pick that one up.

The FX 5600 from Mad Dog for $99 is good deal.

The FX card to stay away from is the 5200. It just an updated GF4 MX440 chipset.

It will handle gaming, but their is better out there. Of course, that would mean spending more money.

Yes. It will handle most anything you through at it.

Heck for that price, I may just go get one for my kids machine to replace the old Voodoo 5 5500!

I would say spend the extra 50 or so and get a Radeon 9600pro instead. I've seen many comparisons showing the 5600 lagging far behind the 9600pro.
