Nvidia nforce 3.14 drivers wont install

I just downloaded the new Nvidia nForce 3.14 drivers and when I try to install them the instal program just quits. It does the Installshield wizard and once that is done everything closes.

anyone know whats up here?

That's odd. You do mean the v3.13 drivers? Did you get them here from Nvidia? Maybe try downloading them again. You may have gotten a corrupted file. Also make sure you have no proggies running in the background such as virus scanners and such. You can also try clearing out your temp files. Sometimes previously installed programs leave stuff in there that conflicts with new installs.

I've done all of that stuff, someone told me about a program to remove all the old drivers and things, but I forgot the name. Any ideas?

Here's a nifty little proggie for removing the last vestiges of your previous drivers: Detonator RIP

Driver Cleaner will remove nForce chipset drivers I believe.

Myself, I've never been able to update the nForce drivers without having to do a fresh install of WinXP. I've tried both install methods: new over old, uninstall old/driver cleaner/install new and either way always messes up the whole system. I dread new nForce releases
