Uninstall error
OK i just got this game call of duty, WW II game. I put the game in install it and when i start playing, the game closed out on me for no reason, Like there was a video problem. But i have more than enough requirements for the game, 128 radeon 9200, 2.4 AMD ect... So anyways i said screw it im going to reinstall it. So i go and uninstall it and it didnt delete all the files. And when i go to delete them i get this cant unintall error. I just want to unintall this, reinstall it and play this game i paid 50 bucks to rock. If there is anyone out there that can help me resove this problem, that would be great!! thanks in advance.....oh yeah, it wont let me reinstall it over what ever is still there....it just freezes up on me

you can try doing it in safe mode, hold f5, or f8 at startup (think thats 98/xp commands at least, it should say in post) - also make sure you have the lastest drivers for video

f8 should be 2000's as well, you may be able to remove them with a reboot, if not, try safe mode
also, if you dont have admid rights, use a username that does

Try a 3rd party uninstaller. There is a free one at PCWorld called Add/Remove Plus! 2003 v4.0 (On page 2).
There are quite a few free and shareware utilities here, and there could be more uninstallers than this one... I just didn't wade thru them all...having remembered seeing this one the otherday.
I have had problems uninstalling apps myself, and sometimes, a 3rd party uninstaller will get it. http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/fil...id,6944,00.asp |
