Help With installation of a blog

Installation Steps

1. put the PHP files in a folder somewhere visible to your webserver
2. put the image folder inside the initial folder
3. Run the SQL in database.sql (supplied) through your database.
4. change the config.php script to suit your settings.
5. chmod rss.xml to 666 in order to convert your blog into RSS.

thats the instructions it gives me, how do i do #3 ????? i'm running windows xp and i have php and mysql installed

The way I did it (I couldn't get the new one to work ) was use a program called PHPMyAdmin from www.phpmyadmin.net. Then you just install phpmyadmin and you can run the database.sql script on a database you have created. Basically it just fills in some data and builds each part of your database.

Just download and isntall it. It can be installed on any computer too and now on a server. Just make sure you will in the right stuff. BTW I haven't found out how to run sql files with this on yet.
