Urgent help needed , CD-rw does not read CDs

I'm building a computer for a customer , And need some help
I've tried with 2 different burners and both Nero and EZCD
the burner writes the discs perfectly but it does not read ANY cd.
I have to put the cd into the second CD unit in the computer to read it.

The OS is windows 98

Are you talking of not burning CDR or CDRW disks? Not clear. Title says CDRW.

You may need the UDF reader utility installed for old OS like win98.

You can either find this on Roxio/nero website or on the installation CDs.

I'm guessing you are talking of CDRW disks.

No - It burns everything , but it wont read.
