n-Force Mobo's

Greetings all.... Ive decided to build my next computer. I going for 2500+ barton core as cpu. I would like to compliment it with a n Force board. Ive looked at many of the boards with nforce chipsets... but im not really sure what all the suffix means..

SPP, IGG, ultra 400 and 400, , MCP... what do those mean?.. any reconmmendations on which board for 2500+ barton? im planning on OverClocking it. pair it with a 512MB PC3200 400Mhz corsairs rams. And planning on a SATA HD and ati 9600XT or 9700pro..

any help and suggestions appreciated.

And MCP-T is the upgraded 6.1 nForce SoundStorm sound system.

I've got an Asus A7N8X Deluxe and with the Barton 2500 and a Radeon 9500 Pro. Runs flawlessly.

one thing you can do is go to newegg and look at the motherboards with nforce2 and you can sort of figure out what is what that way

http://www.newegg.com/app/Listproduc...rchFor=nforce2

If you're deciding between a 9700 Pro or 9600XT and money isn't a problem, go for a 9700 Pro.

Look at the Shuttle AN35N-Ultra. Very low cost and a great mobo. I have my Barton 2500+ running @ 3200+ on my Shuttle without a problem on oem Vcore of 1.65

This a good mobo if your looking for something without all the 'Bells and Whistles'.
The standard 6 channel sound (MCP) is OK, SATA is nice but not that much faster then ATA and firewire is only good if you have a need for it.

The Shuttle can be had for $49.99 after the MIR from Newegg and has received good reviews.
