Sony port replicator and VGA monitors

Hi all,

My problem is this: I have 2 Sony VAIO laptops at work that use the Sony PCGA-PRF1A port replicator to connect to external mice, keyboard, LAN, and a monitor. Everything works fine, except the monitor. Mainly this happens after the laptops have been out in the field for awhile but I'll connect the laptops to the port replicator and turn on the monitor, then the laptop. When I boot the laptops, the monitors active light goes green from amber, then back to amber as if no signal is present. I select monitor only in the setup screen but have chosen monitor and LCD screen as well but it will take a few times before it actually works. I don't usually see many posts about this but I hope someone out there has experienced the same problem and maybe has a solution.
