Need for Speed: Underground RULES!!

This game is so fun!! It's go addictive!!

It's the closest thing to GranTurismo that you can get on the computer. You can customize your car, add decals, tune it up...

Oh man!

The graphics are amazing! I turned motion blur and light trails on, and it makes you feel like you are actually going 125mph in the game.

Also, the music that comes with it is deverse and everysong has at least a good beat. A lot of bass.

The game has tons of little movies that continue that game a long in the beginning. These movies are quick, cool, actually get you into the game.

Will post of pic of my custom Maxda Miata in a few...

The only thing that I can't find out how to do is switched cars. Maybe you get the chance later in the game. Right now, I'm just rigging up my Mazda.

MY CAR!

Really doesn't give it justice only being able to see one side.
This is a HUGE difference from what the stock Mazda looks like, and I got to choose everything on it.

Looks like I need to check this game out!!

I'm not a huge fan of racing games but from the TV adverts, and your description, it sounds like this one may be real quality?!

Yea, the game is awesome. It is a huge departure from previous NFS games as you might actually see some of the cars in this one outside on the streets (depending where you live that is). The only part that I can't stand in the game is the races where all you do is powerslide.

What kind of rigs do you guys have? What kind of video card specifically does this game need to really rock!

athlon xp2000
384mb ram
Leadtek geforce4 ti4200

on there site www.needforspeed.com it says min is about a geforce 2

just read this

Quote:
the motion blur is both a direct x 9 feature and a hardware feature your card MUST support in orde to be able to run it.
GF4 cards are not actually direct X 9 compatible... in the way that they can take advantage of this feature as they are lackign the hardware counterpart required to run the feature.

if you have an ATI 9700 or somthign new like that or a GF FX card then u mught double check your running direct x 0 and that your video drivers are working right.
to to spend more money for the decent stuff now

It definatly is very addicting... It runs perfectly on my rig at 1024x768 with all the detail settings on high...

2500+@3200+
1GB RAM
Ti4400

I installed in on one of my other boxes which only has a GF2MX400 and a 1900+ and was getting 25 fps while racing at 800x600 with low detail settings. Occasionally it did dip as low as 19fps, however it usually maintained a pretty solid 25 which isn't too bad. The game looked surprisingly good even at the low settings too.

As far as motion blur only working on DX9 hardware... That simply isn't true... I enabled motionblur on my Ti4400 and it worked just fine.
