Cold and PC monitor

ok 2 monitors arrived today these are suppose to be for gifts so im hiding them outside in a storage building will the cold temps effect them they are still in there boxes

I think it will be ok, make sure the following:
1: Make sure its not sub-freezing temperatures
2: Not much moisture exposed to the monitors
3: make sure when you bring it in to room temperature, let it sit for awhile to warm back up to room temperature. then you can use it...
(It should be ok, i see people leave their laptops in their cars and it was snowing, all they do is let the laptop warm up to room temperature before turning it on..)

i agree with imac... and worst comes to worst, you just stick an overclocked computer out there and that will heat that storage building up in no time

The boxes themselves might have the markings that show the handling conditions. Look for something like a thermometer icon.

there is no problem with storage of electronic devices in a low temp enviroment as lonq as it is allowed to warm up a few hours before applying power.

well we broght them in today let thim sit about 20 mins or so fired them up and nothing is wrong they run great
