Quake 3, America's Army, RTCW: Enemy Territory, Neverwinter Nights all run natively.
WineX can be used to run many others. Games I've run with it include Diablo 2, BF1942, and THPS3. MANY more run with it though, I am jsut not a huge gamer

When I tried it there were some problems playing over a LAN/internet though. Transgaming's site has instructions on getting winex by CVS, then you've got to compile it yourself. I don't think the CVS version supports things like pb though.
The best Linux game site I know is: www.happypenguin.org
they have a big database of games with links, reviews and screenshots.

Yeah me too. But I once played with psDoom on my server, and severly screwed things up. I needed a reboot to fix it.
That was for processes. I'd hate to think of what I could screw up with files. I think I'll personally steer clear of stuff like that. Especially as ps, grep, kill, ls, locate and mv make it just as easy, without screwing stuff up.
