Hi

I'm having problems with the file browser. When I click on "My Computer", it displays all my hard drives (partitions) and disk drives, etc. That's fine, however, the problem is when I double-click on a hard drive partition, it brings up a search window instead of the partition! Why is this?

Software I recently installed:

-style xp (never had problems with it before)
-Yzdock toolbar

I also downloaded some icons etc, changed icon preferences, doubt that make much trouble though. Please help!

okay, I've just found out somehow my folder and drive actions have been changed. I went to folder options - file types, and checked out the advanced options for drive and file folder, they were changed. However, it doesn't give me the option to change them back, how do I do this!?!

I don't want to change driver letter assignments! I want to change the actions performed by icons of type drive and file folder!

Hi

I've corrected this problem now. If anyone is interested:

Basically, some program that I installed or me myself (don't know which!) messed up my folder and drive associations. So, basically I just got registry keys of HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/folder/shell, /drive/shell and /directory/shell, deleted the current ones and imported the new ones in.
