14" LCD's..whats the deal?

I keep seeing 14" lcds at prices wayyyyyyyy under 15inchers. I mean, other than a slightly smaller screen, is there THAT much difference????? Wouldnt people with a small desk possibly prefer a 14" lcd??

for instance this one .

I mean, thats round about $80 cheaper than an average 15"

Am I missing something??

i have a 14" and a 15" sitting right in front of me now...
size wise, i cant really tell the difference (they are in the same size case, but the speakers are slightly larger on the 14")

quality wise (and this is just speaking about my 15" KDS vs 14" Proview) the 15" is about double the quality

once again, this is just with my monitors, and my 14" is hooked up to an old graphics card, but the 14" is not as bright, nor as sharp. the colors are also a little off compared to the 15"

however, if no gaming is to be done, there is limited desk space, and you dont mind a dimmer screen (lcds seem brighter than crts anyway), 14" is great for the money

I was thinking along the lines of sprucing up a budget build....or rather "making a cheap comp seem better", lol.

I bought that 14" lcd off of someone here for like $75 used... works great as a second monitor for me (since i like my 15 for gaming). it is also gonna be my bro's christmas gift.... i am just breaking it in for him

if i didnt have the 15" next to it, i would probably get used to the colors and dimness of the 14" and not notice it
