another question on scsi

I seem to have an on going termination problem.
I have an ultra 160 adapter built on my msi mother board.
It has two scsi headers. One is a 68 pin HD and the other is a 50 pin one. I am going to use the 68 pin hd to connect a scanner.
Do i have to terminate the 50 header since i am not using it.
I do have termination enabled in the bios and I have a terminator for the scanner.

Also another question is since I am connecting a scsi 1 scanner to a scsi 3 bus. do I have to change to speed of the id for the scanner on the adpter to scsi 1 speed.

Tks in advance
CAT

You didn't say WHO's controller chip is onbd. , I'd guess AdapteC --
The 50 & 68 pins *should* be seperate channels , and the scanner will default to the SCSI-1 protocol speed .
Your'e welcome after the fact!!
