yup, i deleted the mail shortcut for mozilla and low and behold its not actually in the mozilla directory. only way i can open mozilla messenger is cd the the directory in dos and run "mozilla -mail" or open the actual browser and open it from there (too lazy to)

plus making a shortcut to mozilla and just adding -mail to the syntax doesnt work either. im stumped.

nevermind, i just restored a backup from last night to get it back. didnt answer my own question but at least it fixed the issue.. id still like to know though.

I just now made a shortcut to Mozilla using the "-mail" switch and it worked fine in W2k.

The actual target line from my shortcut looks like this:

"C:\Program Files\mozilla.org\Mozilla\mozilla.exe" -mail

thanks out, yeah after i restored it i saw what i was doing wrong. i wasnt using the quotes where

"C:\Program Files\mozilla.org\Mozilla\mozilla.exe" -mail

was right i tried instead:

"C:\Program Files\mozilla.org\Mozilla\mozilla.exe -mail
