How to upload with a Linksys BEFSR41 router?

What do you have to change on the settings to be able to upload files over lets say msn mess with this router. I really need help.

You shouldn't have to change a thing. What kind of problems are you having? If you are using a software firewall, maybe that needs to be reconfigured. Disable the built in XP firewall too, it's known to cause problems with Yahoo/AIM/MSN file transfers.

I've always had problems sending files over ICQ, but with AOL it works fine

Dunno about MSN though.

Have you upgraded the firmware on the router?
Sometimes that will fix these problems.

Like Atomic Rooster said, check your software firewall settings (if you are running one). If you can connect to MSN through the router then you should be able to send files too. I know on Zonealarm you need to explicity define that Messenger can send files. Or at least you used to have to.

the router does file transfers sound and live video just fine at default setting with msm instant messenger
I have 7 networks with 5 to 10 computers on it all over the us and we all have used it for about a year with no problems.

the older versions did not work through a router
