Compaq & Symantec Antivirus Client
All right I have a Compaq 100s, which many of you know.
I have install Symantec Antivirus Coperate Edition (8.1) on it.
If I go to scan the hard drive, it goes back to the start screen, then I try again, It reads that another scan is happening. Press CTRL+ALT+DEL, RTVSCN95 is not responding.
Symantec says to update your symvinst(sp?), I did, no help
I also read about changing the RTVSCN95 from a Registry start up to a Start Up folder item, No Help, I also read to change where Cpqalert.exe loads in the registry, but on this model of Compaq it is not there to begin with. There is a CpqDfwAg.exe, is that it?
Also, if I go to Configure, Real tim protection, I get a VPC32 performed an illegal operation.
Now this is not 8.1 exculsive. I have tried 8.0, and 7.5, and they both get it.
Any Ideas??
