Did you remember to uninstall the nVidia drivers?

Welcome to TechIMO!

Have you tried changing any BIOS AGP settings? Disable AGP fast writes, set the transfer rate to 4x, and set the AGP aperature to 128MB.

What's the wattage on your power supply? An underpowered PSU will show these symptoms.

As a test, you can unplug the power to your other devices (hard drives, cd drives, floppy, lights, etc). If it works, then you can pretty much bet that your power supply is unable to put out enough power for all of your devices at a time.

Does it give you any POST beeps?

Have you tried pulling the card out and then reinstalling it? Could just need to be reseated.

It won't NEED 8x, fubux, it's capable of 8x. It will run at anything less.

Like Rick asked, does it beep like it normall does during a post, or does it just sit there and not make any noise at all?
